5-year-old Palm Beach girl dies
A 5-year-old West Palm Beach, Fla., girl died Monday from injuries she suffered when she hit a tree while skiing at Aspen Highlands ski area.
The girl was identified by the Pitkin County Coroner’s office as Leonie
Arguetty of West Palm Beach, Fla. She died at 9:37 a.m. at the Children’s Hospital in Denver. Arguetty was hurt Saturday afternoon when she struck a tree while skiing on an intermediate run, an Aspen Skiing Co. official said.
It was the 11th accidental death reported at Colorado ski areas this season. Another man died while skiing out of bounds near the Monarch ski area in January.
